Run down of December's Theme Weeks!

Instead of making the whole of December dedicated to Christmas, we divided up the weeks into special themes. So, to start off December, Milk's first theme was Light Festival Week! There was a very spiffy 'Spin the Dreidel' game, in which Milkers chatted normally and staff gave out bells at random whenever the dreidel 'stopped'. Breezy was also kind enough to hex a cool bagel for everyones' babyz to enjoy!

Snow Buddies Week followed and this theme gave everyone an opportunity to build upon their online friendships. It was also the perfect time to show your Little Sis some love. Anyone who signed up to be a big sister earned themselves 100 bells!

After Snow Buddies Week came Winter Pageant Queen Week! Jazzy won the theme pageant and was featured on the beautiful and refreshing remodel, which was made by Jen. We celebrated all things pageanty, and many milkers showed off their little pageant queens in their family threads!

Then came Christmas Week! Just like in 2006, Milk rocked out the end of the year with another fun Christmas Hexing Party! Lots of milkers hexed clothes, toys and babyz just for the occasion. There was also the famous Milk Advent, where a new present was posted each day of the month of December until the 24th. Anyone who signed up for Secret Milker gave each other their nifty presents on Christmas Eve. Overall, it was a fantastically fun month!

And of course, this week we are celebrating New Years Week. Milk entered 2008 with well over 150,000 posts--yay for Milk!!

Make A PSP Brush Tutorial

This tutorial was made in Paint Shop Pro 9

So you want to make your own brush in PSP? Cool!
Let's give it a go.

1. Open up the image you'd like to use as a Brush.

Example:


2. Select the Magic Wand tool.
Click on the white background of the image.
You will see the "marching ants" surround your image.

3. Go to Selections -> Invert.

4. Click the Airbrush tool.

5. Click the drop-down for Tool Presets:



6. Then, click the following button that says "Create brush tip from selection"



7. In the next window, you can name your brush to whatever you wish. Then press OK.



Your new brush should be created now! If it doesn't show up immediately, try exiting
Paint Shop Pro and opening it up again. It should be there.

Festival of Lights Week

To celebrate the diverse range of holiday's in the month of December, Milk hosted "Festival of Lights" week from December 1st to December 7th. Breezy supplied all of Milk with bagels and teh games began. The main game was Spin the Dreidel, in which Milkers just randomly talked and whenever a staff member came in with 'STOP', the last person to post won 10 bells.
In the midst of the week, Milk reached 150,000 posts, so each Milker was rewarded 150 bells.
At the end of the week, awards were given out. Milker of the week was Hannah and Milk Mom of the Week was Erica. Then, as a special edition to that week, there were Festival of Lights awards. Eight, being the significant number of the week, top sites and top babyz were given awards and owners and mothers were awarded 80 bells if their names appeared on the lists. The top 8 sites were Bananaphone, The Sushi Bar, Show Off, B&Etc., Laughter, Bambino, Dragon Tears, and Oh Juliet. The top 8 babyz were Erica's Estella, Cemi's Daisy, Angelique's Jakob, Claire's Arabella, Kaylee's Marc, Hannah's Aurora, Ashley's Alice, and Zel's Azriel. So all in all, it was a fun week for Milkers and many prizes were won! Congratulations to everyone.



Snowbuddies Week

Snowbuddies Week was a week to celebrate our online friends. This week was held December 8th through 14th. To encourage friendlyness and helpfulness at Milk, if you signed up to be a big sister, you could collect 100 bells. And Breezy gave everyone at Milk a winter buddy...a penquin for your babyz.
At the end of the week the awards were given out. Carly was Milker of the Week and Steph was the Milk Mom of the Week. Congratulations, you two!



Winter Pageant Queen Week

Winter Pageant Queen Week was the time to show off your girls in their cold-nosed glory! Celebrated December 15th through December 21st, Milkers were showing off their little girls left and right. New pageant gowns were created, and activity in the pageant board sky-rocketed. A special reward was given for those who opened and judged pageants in that week. For each pageant created and judged that week, instead of Milkers being able to collect 50 bells, they were able to collect 100 bells.
Winter Pageant Queen Week was also a week for Milkers to recognize the beloved BCRS. Pageants were held showing support for BCRS, and Milker showed their love for pageants.
We should all extend a huge thank you to Jen and Gabrielle for BCRS.

At the end of the week, the awards were given and Milker of the Week was Zel and Milk Mom of the Week was Kelyn. Congratulations, you two!



Advent Calender

Milk Staff and Milkers created an advent calender for all us Milkers to enjoy throughout the month of December! Each day, a new download was put up with a prize waiting inside! These prizes ranged from coupons, tips, clothes, toys, and bells. A huge thank you goes out to all who contributed to the Advent Calender!
