MILK MOOSLETTER

By Moosletter Team

Welcome to the October edition of the Milk Moosletter. We’ve had some exciting themes this month but our last theme is a very fun one indeed.

A holiday the BCers enjoy more than the likes of Christmas and Easter! Halloween is upon us once again and if you’re not ready yet now is the time to be thinking of what goodies you can give to the little Trick or Treaters heading your way!

If you’re looking to sign up to be listed as a welcoming BCer you can visit Milk’s Trick or Treat website at www.penshaw-pineapple.co.uk/tot or Budgie & Shnuck have a Trick or Treat Forum at http://totllamas.proboards98.com/.

But don’t forget to hang around Milk this weekend, the celebrations for Halloween are here and there’s plenty of things to do and win!!!

Have a great Halloween 2007 but remember not too eat too many candies!

Love Jen x

Congratulations!
By Kelly

We would like to say a big congratulations to Kelley and Faye, both of whom have recently been ‘promoted.’

Kelley, who was once a Junior Moo, is now a Senior Moo, after all the hard work and effort she put in to help us all at Milk.

Sadly Hannah has chosen to leave us due to college/school work constraints so we would like to say thank you to her for all the hard work she has put in over the past three months as Junior Moo.

To take her place, we would like to welcome Faye! Who has shown her dedication to Milk through her contributions to the Moosletter.

Good luck to the both of you!

Chocolate Herd Interview With Trisha & Elle
By Haley

How does it feel to be on the winning Milk Wars herd?
Trisha: It feels great, especially because all the herds did so well, and it was really close!
Elle: It's great! It was an awesome surprise to see that we won. It was SO close in the end though and everyone did really well.

What do you think set your herd apart from the other three?

Trisha: Since I don't know how the other herds were together, I'll just mention some of the strong parts of ours! I think all of us were flexible with ideas, and really willing to have input from the other Milk Cartons. We would make sure to find things for each person to do, so no one was being left out. And if 1 person did end up doing more than their share, they weren't bitter about it to the others. We just all did what we could, and I think the tasks helped play in to our strengths to make it all work out in the end!
Elle: I think that we all bounced ideas off each other well and our task discussions were always productive, so we were able to get things done.

Did your herd work well with all of it's Milk Cartons?
Trisha: It was a little tricky at first, just because our herd changed up quite a bit during Task 1. We were able to finish tasks 2 & 3 with three strong Milk Cartons, and we were really good at bouncing ideas off each other!
Elle: Yes! we worked really well together and all contributed ideas.

What would you suggest to those who may not get along so well with their herd-mates?
Trisha: I'll sound like a kindergarten teacher if I say The Golden Rule, so how about getting to know each other on AIM or through PMs, before starting on your tasks?
Elle: Even though they may not get along that well, they should put it aside for the good of the team. The other herd Milk Cartons don't deserve to be in the middle of other people who don't get along.

Any helpful hints for future Milk Wars participants?
Trisha: Don't let a rocky start with Task 1 get you down - use it as 'practice' and get back into the swing of things for Tasks 2 & 3!
Elle: WORK TOGETHER! It's the only way to get things done. Also, don't leave most of the responsibility on one person, because that's not fair. Lastly, if you plan on joining milk wars, STAY! It really sucks to get ditched by teammates.
