New Moo-derator and Jr. Moo-derators
by Faye and Kelley

We wanted to know what being a Moo-derator was like, so we went and interviewed Haley!

-Why did you choose to be a Moo-derator?-
Well, I've modded several forums and I've always enjoyed working with the staff and Milk Cartons, plus I love coming up with new ideas to better the forum. I also thought being sort of "new" to the BC that trying out for moo-derator would allow more people to get to know me, and vice versa. It's just nice to be a part of something. =]

-What are the good points of being a Moo-derator?-
Putting all those ideas to use!

-What are the bad points of being a Moo-derator?-
There's really no bad points, the only thing that's sort of uncomfortable is disciplining Milk Cartons. No one wants to be a stick in the mud, but you've got to correct people when they make mistakes.

-Tell us about being a Moo-derator!-
It's fun, I've got to talk to new people and do different things. The most fun for me is working as a team to create things for the forum, be it rules or Milky fun.

As well as interviewing our new Moo-derator, we decided to also interview our new Junior Moo's. Here's what Hannah and Elle had to say:

-Why did you want to become a Junior Moo?-
Hannah: Well, my main reason for wanting to become a Junior Moo was because I sort of wanted to give back to the BC and help out a bit. I love Milk so much and really wanted to be more involved and to sort of help out behind the scenes I guess!
Elle: I really wanted to become a Junior Moo because I am constantly at milk, and I really wanted to contribute to the milkers/BC somehow. I also thought that I could be helpful to the other milkers and the admins/seniors moos to keep things running smoothly.

-How do you like it now?-
Hannah: I love it! Especially the pink name. No, seriously.. its really good! I love being able to help out around Milk and voice my ideas and think of ways to make Milk even more fun!
Elle: I love it! It's really a lot of fun, even though there are of course responsibilities that come with the job. But of course, it's a job so there's work involved, which I don't mind at all. I also really like working with Hannah, the other junior moo, because she is an awesome person and always has great ideas.

-What are some of the good points of being a Junior Moo?-
Hannah: Definitely the pink name. Sorry I couldn't resist. I do love helping out with the decision making round here. And helping run the theme pageant each week is really fun!
Elle: There are lots of good points. First, we get to contribute our ideas to the admins/seniors and give input into what goes on at milk, which is cool. Also, we get to run the theme pageant and give everyone's kids a chance to be in the next remo. This may sound funny, but I also like having the admin. options with posts, like being able to move them and post stickies, and stuff like that...I feel kinda cool when I do it lol. Lastly, I really like that my name is in pink. A lot. haha!

-What are some of the bad points of being a Junior Moo?-
Hannah: Ahh, I don't think there are any really! Except I have to be on my best behavior ALL the time.. well, not that I wasn't before. :-/
Elle: Well, so far I haven't come across anything bad! but I know that there will always be rule breakers and people who disregard what the admins/moos/juniors say, which sucks of course. Also, making sure that I do everything the right way and remember all the rules is something that I always have to think about. but hey, it's just part of the job! Besides those things though, it's great.

Good luck to the Jr Moo-derators!

Milky Way Forum
by Faye judged by Jen

At Milky Way forum, a competition was held to write the best descriptive, inviting piece about the forum.
The winner chosen was Hannah, this is what she came up with!

Do you dream of a place where hunky men run naked through waterfalls?

Oops, wrong competition! ;]

Do you dream of a place where budding young writers such as yourself can share their talent? Do you crave constructive criticism for your latest piece of poetry? Do you wish there was a place you could RP out your babyz lives in a town called Buffalo? Or perhaps you just really enjoy reading amazing stories? Well, quit dreaming, stop craving and forget wishing.. in a galaxy far away there's a Milky Way, a lot different to any other, filled with stars which plan to be big! With talent like yours, you'll certainly fit in. There's everyone's favourite, The Street, where you can begin your own family thread. This is the place for heart-break, murder, love and drama drama drama! Then, we have the Role-Play board where your characters can meet others from within The Steet. Maybe your characters may kindle a friendship or spark a romance? We also have a fan-fic board and a poetry board for you to show off your skills. And don't forget the challenges ranging from stories to poetry, where you can win Bells to use here at Milk!

So stop being so selfish and hiding those talents.

Milky Way.. its truly out of this world.

Well done Hannah!

Hexing Tip
by Kelley

Add that extra touch of cuteness to your hexies by giving them a cute pink nose!

45, 18, -1, -1, -2, 0, 8, -1 //85 nostrilL
45, 18, -1, -1, 0, 0, 8, -1 //86 nostrilR

All you need to do is change the first number on each nostril to 46, or for a lighter pink try 35. Simple as that!

Ins and Outs of Milk
by LK

For Babyz

In: Asian skin
Out: White skin

In: Colored streaks in hair
Out: Hair that’s one color

For Clothes

In: Bright colors
Outs: Pastels

In: Rainbow stripes
Out: Polka dots

Other

In: Big families
Out: Downsizing

In: Family threads
Out: Separate threads

What This Means

Diversity is huge in the Babyz Community right now. Gone are the days when the majority of kids are white skinned, blonde and blue eyed. (I mean no offense to those with blonde haired, blue eyed white kids. I have one myself.) After Diversity Week last week, Milk is roaring with new skin tones, brightly colored hair bmps and clothes that channel Rainbow Brite.

Having a big family with an array of different kids is the way to go. So stop worrying about keeping your family under ten. Big is beautiful. And different is delightful.

Advice Column
by Kelley and Milker

Thank you for all your letters this week! We decided to show this one!

Dear Kelley,

I can't seem to find a forever. I've been in the BC forever now and every time I think I find him or her, I feel the need to folder them a year to 3 years later! And when I folder them, I have no desire to ever get them back out or miss them much... How do I know when a baby is really a forever?

-Distressful Disaster.

Dear Distressful Disaster,
Finding a forever baby can be really hard for some people. I suggest that you don't go on an adopting spree to find that special baby, just let them find you. The way I know that Cyan is my forever is that I can't think of playing the game without him in it. When I think about if I were to ever lose him in a computer crash, I think of completely quitting the game. When you feel that way about one of your babyz, congratulations..you have found your forever baby!

PM all letters to Kelley!
