Run down of November's Theme weeks!

By Jen

November kicked off with Autumn Week, Halloween was over and we need something to keep us rested and to have a break from anything extravagant.

Pyjama Week followed and everyone was happy to slip into their PJ's and sit around telling fun stories. Leya & Angelique hexed some amazing pyjama sets and won some bells for doing so.

Last week we celebrated Thanksgiving for Americans but people of all backgrounds were happy to join in. We played lots of fun games, Breezy won the "draw a turkey" contest with this hilarious picture:

The last week of November ends the Fall Term with the winners; Red House!

Hexing Tip

By Kelley
Tired of the usual one colored eyes? Why not make them each a different color! It's quite simple and can really give your hexie that extra hint of uniqueness.

[Outline Color Override]
;Eye color
68, 14 ;14
69, 96 ;96
##

Just replace the code above with the code that is usually there, and use two different numbers from the color chart! Make sure they blend together well though, we don't want any funky looking babyz up in here. ;)
The bolded 68 is the left eye, and the underlined 69 is the right eye.

Happy Hexing!

Red Week

By Erica
The week of November 25th was Red Week in celebrating of Red House winning the house cup! It was quite a close call between Red and Orange houses. Orange house won with 241 points to Red Houses' 212 points. However, the winner was chosen because Red house had the most posts and won the BOTB. However, it is to be said that the Orange house also did a magnifiencent job! Due to Red Week, Milk's layout was...Red featuring Rayen! Some red-themed pageants were held and it was just a time of great happiness for Red House members. Congratulations to Red House!

Prom Night
By Erica and Elle
Here at Milk we celebrated the end of the red and orange house terms by holding a prom! Milkers came dressed to impress, especially Larka who was elected Prom Queen! Dave and Daisy, the lovely bartenders, were there at our service to make us all very merry, indeed. The infamous Song Game was set up, and a congratulations goes out towards Chlorie who came in first place, with 36 points out of 40. After everyone showed us their gorgeous prom dresses, we voted for the prom queen. The winner was Larka! Here is a shot of her at the prom:

I had an interview with the prom queen, and here is what she had to say...
What made you want to go to prom? "All the forum excitement, and the pursuit of world peace! ;-)"
What does it feel like to be prom queen? "Grateful that people voted for me, it's flattering!"
What was your favorite thing about prom? So many people got involved; dancing, drinking, Jen's music challenge, and seeing everyone all dolled-up."

All in all Milk's prom night was a lot of fun and we hope everyone enjoyed it!

Rosier Cheeks Graphic Tutorial

By Kelley and Haley
This tutorial was made in Paint Shop Pro X

These are the tools we'll be using in the tutorial.

The Soften Tool, Eyedropper, Dodge/Lighten Button, and the Eraser.

Step 1) Open your paint program and the picture you want to edit. You're going to need to zoom in on the babyz face so that you can use the eyedropper tool to get the color of your babyz rosies in your color palette. Also, if your baby has any facial tattoo's or freckles, duplicate the picture and set it to invisible while you work.

Step 2) Once you have the color of your babyz rosies in you color palette go to the paint brush tool. I've got my paint brush settings on Size 10, Hardness 50, Step 10, and Opacity 100. Make a new layer and fill in your babyz cheeks as much or as little as you'd like.

Step 3) Now you're going to want to soften the cheeks, if you use Paint Shop Pro the soften tool should be under the same icon as your Lighten/Darken tool. My soften tool is set to Size 20, Hardness 100, Step 32, and Opacity 100.

Step 4) Now we're going to merge the layer you made and painted on, with the babyz original picture. Use the Dodge/Lighten tool and give a click on each cheek. My settings are on size 30, Opacity 20, Hardness 35 and Step 10.

I also use the eraser brush at this step, to remove any bits of color that got in the corner of the babyz mouth while I was softening the cheeks.

Step 5) Now, if you don't mind losing your babyz freckles or tattoos you can stop here. If you want the freckles and tattoos then make the duplicated picture, that we made in step 1, visible. Use the eyedropper tool to get all the colors of the freckles/tattoos and go to your paintbrush tool.

Now, where you have your layers showing [probably on the right] click the one you've been editing NOT the duplicated original, and make sure the duplicate is the first layer so you can see it. Use the paintbrush and color over the freckles and other facial features. Once you've done that, delete the duplicate. If you did it correctly all the facial features will be the layer you were editing all along.

You can of course play with your own colors and settings to get all sorts of different looks for your babyz!

Thank you for reading this moosletter! See you again at the end of December!
